Hi Reckless,

Great photo, I haven't had the pleasure of seeing one yet.

Ha ha..... I know that feeling Reckless. I see one most days and man can it move fast when it wants to. A few days ago I saw 3, one was a little removed from the other two who I thought were parent and juv. Interestingly the parent bird stayed out in the open with the younger one presumably to protect it adn the other one ran for cover as normal. They are incredibly pretty aren't they when you manage to study one?
Where are you situated? and welcome.

Cheers

Thanks, they are very quick and love the cover of bushes and long grass. They are very pretty and shy. Lucky to see them once a week. I'm from Cranbourne Vic and the rail was just outside of the botanical gardens. Enjoying the site. cheers

I like them. They are very bold around the bar on Heron Island
