Recent photo outings

Just a few photo's from recent outings. Yesterday has been the best outing to date. My hubby, the kiddies and i went to Lake Nillahcootie fishing and had the best day for a long time, photographing Sea Eagles and all sorts. Im not sure on the id of the second pic if someone could help me.

I will fix a few pics so they are better viewed.

Some astonishing photos, especially the last one, in a beautiful but gruesome kind of way. I could imagine that one in a magazine. I've forgotton, what type of gear do you have? What settings did you use for the flight photos? I think your second bird is a black-fronted dotterel

Wow thankyou so much Birdgirl2009 and Perthwings.

Perthwings, i have thought about the idea of making a bird book but i am unsure whether it would be a good enough market to spend the time on making the book. It's a tough one.

Also i forgot earlier to put another couple of recent photos up. Here they are.

More beautiful shots Birdgirl, and I love the kingfisher and of course the Sea Eagle losing/chasing the fish. Like you I doubt there would be enough commercial interest to cover the publication of any type of book. If you look around on the net there are plenty of professional photographers with extensive and beautiful libraries already for sale.

Great shots, Birdgirl, a Black-fronted Dotterel in flight, I'm impressed, those guys fly so quickly and never in a straight line...well done.

All beautiful photos - the Kingfishers are my favourites though it's the colour that attracts me!
