Went for a walk this evening and had the use of a Tamron IS lens. Results..... no shake yay!!!
This was a first for me today Plumed Whistling ducks.... really pretty
This is a little Friar Bird and the yellow threw me completely it took me a long time to find what it was.
The Kangaroos were everywhere and just gorgeous.
I love the ducks, the colours are wonderful,& the Galahs look as though they were having a great time. Cant wait to see more of your photos.
the plumed ducks look great,i have never see one live only in books, and you can always count on Galahs to put on a show!
You know i can't help myself what focal length was the tamron!
thanks guys, the galahs were very amusing !
Sparrow the tamron was 18-250 I think, and while I loved the fact that it could get me a good pic in lower light than I would have been able to manage, I was a bit disappointed after taking it out this morning again. I'd have to use it a bit ore but I am thinking that as bad as my EF lens is , the optics without IS give a sharper image in optimum conditions than the Tamron.
those whistling ducks are just the prettiest creatures... but really shy.

They were very funny, right next to the pub .... looked like they had spent the afternoon there LOL In fact, the way the roos were lying around all over the show... do did they :')

Birdie those ducks are just beautiful and I have never seen those before. The colours are wonderful. So by their name does it mean they have a whistle? Love your other photos as well. Galahs can be so entertaining.

Here are some more of the gorgeous ducks. I heard them all whistling this morning down at the wetlands
