Aren't the Thornbills just the most satisfying Akasha??? Such a challenge for me to even see them let alone pin one down enough to catch but when I do it feels great LOL

Nice one! Once you see the different species in your area and especially if you learn the calls too you will be able to tell them apart without having to take photos. It takes a while though, but photos are nice regardless. :) In our horse's paddock and surrounds (we agist) I have now had Yellow, Yellow-rumped, Buff-rumped and Striated Thornbills as well as Weebills.

i find the only way to tell thornbills apart is to take photos coz they all look so alike
