Today I went to Hunter Wetlands Centre. I saw lots of baby dusky moorhens. I thought I had taken a photo of an Australasian grebe family (lots of glare), but when I looked at the photos, I think they are wandering whistling ducks

Love your baby Dusky Moorhens especially the one with the mum trying to feed her baby. I hope to see these Whistling ducks one day, they must sound amazing.

Wanda I think the bird in the second photo is mum or dad. The one in the third photo is half-grown (mum or dad is behind) and is also trying to feed the baby - they must all help look after the young, like noisy miners do
