Hi Elle,When I looked up the Jacky Winter,I noticed, they are found all over Australia,(almost!), meaning, I should have some in my garden? I'm not sure, if I have seen one though. They might blend in well? The two in the picture in my S&D, look a bit fifferent to the one in your photo,as they have a black line through the eye, and whitish brows. Also a distinct white line on either side of the tail. Still the same bird?

Thanks. Yes Owen1, I am very lucky to see the Glossy Black Cockatoos. In 10 years I had only seen them twice. They were in a group of about 10. Then, last year, they came back to the casuarinas in my area, in the Manning Valley region. But I was disappointed that there were only 3 this time; two adults and one young. Since then, I have seen them quite alot. I saw them last week but there were only the two of them; I don't know where the third one was. I got such good photos of them because they were in my neighbours tree and she quickly called me to tell me. I was so excited that I almost ran out in my pj's! lol I was lucky that it was in a bush so I could get close without them feeling threatened. :)

I happened to get the picture of Goshawk flying overhead because the magpies chased it out of the tree! That was the clearest photo I got of it flying :)
