Golden-headed cisticola

I was delighted to get some photos of these little birds. I think the ones with the buff and white undersides are adult females and non-breeding males and the ones
with the pale yellow undersides are juveniles

Great shots Birdgirl, not an easy bird to get pictures of, very small, very active, well done.

Owen, not sure where you are but 'display flights' sound more like a Zitting Cisticola?? GHC normally call from a perch.

Hi al, this can only be a good day for me. I love what you said about me, a very nice compliment! (I hope LOL ?) And I agree, those photos are fantastic! Birdgirl, take the money for the new camera, and go on a nice holiday to take photos....

One thing I would say... don't even think of giving up this camera.....it is always good to have a backup . I know you want new gear and completely understand that. Tghere will always be a time when something lighter or more "expendable" needs to be taken with you. These shots show once again what a superb job you current gear is doing.
@ Al.... only a game man would approach Araminta in such a way... I like your style :^b

.....al , and birdie, as my best friend ( a phil. professor) always said to me: better sharp than boooring! She liked to go out with me, because there was always something "unexpected" around the corner!
