Sometimes you can make basic mistakes when it comes to photographing birds and you miss the opportunity. I thought that had happened with this fella. But he managed to give me a second chance. The first photo is what I thought I was going to end up with. He came back and sat on a wire and I brought the camera to my face too quickly and scared him off. After waiting a few minutes as quietly and as still as I could, he came back out so I could take the second photo.
Thank you RCR!
the robin is so colourful. i have never seen a red capped robin. lucky you managed a second photo. nothing worse than only having bad shots of a bird.
BTW.. where did you see him.
Cheers, Owen.
This one was seen about 50 kms south of Alice Springs, but I have seen them in Alice Springs as well, at the Telegraph Station
I've succumbed to the birding bug!
Alice Springs, NT
i wish we got them in melbourne. the only place near uswhere you can see them is long forest conservation reserve out west but i didn't see any there
Cheers, Owen.
Gorgeous bird - I'm glad you got another chance to take a photo
What a pretty bird. Glad you got that second chance so we can also enjoy its beauty. Thanks.
I was born to live and I live to die.
