Thanks Birdie, merci beaucoup (yeah im learnin' french too!). Sundown NP is on the border of NSW and QLD, south west from Stanthorpe. It was just magic. We had the park for ourselves for 2 days!!!! The bird life was unbelievable. You would drive along the road and parrots would explode form the side of the road!!
Truly amazing. And thankyou for the lovely comments, both you and Owen.

Thank you.

The biggest surprise for me was probably seeing the Grebes. I was on the way back o the boat ramp and i wanted to test my new binos. I looked through at what i thought were cormorants but to my surprise they were the grebes.

A truly special weekend.

Mate truly spectacular....what a weekend, it doesn't get any better than that mate.
I was wrapped to see the Turks, I have a soft spot for them as I used to breed them.
Thanks mate for sharing I am definately going to make that a weekend away, its only 10 hours down the road so I am there.

Hey Holly,
What do you think about the merger of BA and BoCA and if or when it happens will you be put out of a job and will the birds in backyards project finish?
.
and
.
Is it too late to give you a photo for the new website?
I was thinking one of my southern whiteface ones and one of the turquoise parrot ones? Please tell me so i can email the to you.

Qldbird - its going to be an interesting AGM/Conservation Forum in Perth when the vote will be occuring.

BIBY is safe and not going anywhere soon. We are actually funded by a private donor but even so, it is a really important BA project and so hopefully we won't be going anywhere for a very long time. I am under the impression that the merger won't result in job losses.

Are you a member of BA or BOCA? Have you received your merger information?

What a collection! I'd be going there often if I could. The turquoise parrot is so stunning it is hard to believe it is real

Can't believe you saw so many birds in one place over a weekend. Must be paradise for birdwatchers. Thanks for sharing.
