I saw 6 parrot species, 3 of which were first time sightings for me. I managed to get photos of 4 species. The ones I missed were the Mulga Parrots and the Budgies. They are just way to fast and flighty.
Galah:
Major Mitchells:
These are one of my favourite birds and this was the only photo I managed to get and that was on the last day as we were leaving.
Mallee Ringnecks:
This was the first time I've seen these birds in the wild. The colours are very bright and they are easy to spot on the wing because of the blue patch on thier wings. According to my new field guide they are now classified as a subspecies of Australian Ringneck along with the Port Lincoln Parrot.
Red-winged Parrots:
These birds were the sighting of the trip for me. I've always loved them and hoped to see them in the wild and got very lucky coming across this group late one afternoon. The male is easy to spot as the colours are so vivid. They are a very beautiful bird as you can see and definately one of my favourites.
Enjoy!!

I love parrots and of yours here I have only seen galahs in the wild. I would love to see Mahor Mitchells and the red-wings are stunning
