Wonderful shots Alex. Love the currawong and the last finch. Lucky to get finches in your backyard.

Cheers, Owen.

Thanks Owen. It is the first time I have seen them. I was walking to the shed to get some tools and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw them on my basil plant eating the fresh seeds. I ran back in the house and managed to come back in time before they flew off. I have a soft spot for little birds like wrens and finches, little kingfishers etc and this was a real treat to find in my own backyard and a bird I have never seen before too.

I was born to live and I live to die.

I have only seen goldfinch at the coast at Port phillip bay, i never see them in suburban or inland areas.
I too love kingfishers and I have seen sacreds many times but only once seen azure and didn't get a shot of it because they just fly too quickly.

Cheers, Owen.

Wow ... and woohoo Alex.... what wonderful shots!! Love the little finch, you really nailed it ...fancy finding them on you basil plant :')

Your lens is great that is for sure, and you have really done justice to the PC and the dove which is lovely, I love to see shots of our everyday backyard visitors looking so great too. Well done!!
