Great photos .I love these little birds .We actually nearly hit a group of 8 last Sunday on the road to a combined outing of the GV and OM BOCA plus our local field nats club .I was on a back road going to the Killawarra Forest north of Wangaratta and had to swerve somewhat to miss them . Then not a km down the road I braked as a Spotted Quail-thrush ran across the road as well .
thank you, it takes me back to the father in laws avairy days when these would sneek out between his legs going in,just think 6 slightly alcohol ised adults chasing them around his back yard.

wonderful shots Richard. I have never heard of this sort of behaviour from quail before so you did well to catch it on camera.

Sounds like the perfect animal - birds are great and meerkats are so cute!
