Can't work out whether this is a Pale Headed or Eastern Rosella because the colours don't seem quite right for either - he is a loner which is unusual for Rosellas and has been around a while and he colours don't seem to get any darker or come through any more, so maybe he's a bit of both - what do you think?
and these two seem to be together but keep doing this strange and very funny hop at each other
this Peaceful Dove is a loner to - only ever see one and not very often
Bad Hair Day? lol
the eyesight on Kookaburras must be incredible - he sat on the clothes for probably 15 mins surveying the yard - he flew down twice to get little lizards walking in the grass
lizards what lizards :P

Great shots myky50. The bird in the first photo we have here too, I'm in Adelaide. I always thought they were Adelaide Rosella's but we also have the Crimson Rosella's here which people seem to call Adelaide Rosella's too, so I'm as confused as you are.
I'd call it as an immature Pale Head . Immature paleys have been known to have a few red feathers which will moult out .

okay thanks narly - i was heading that way but i really wasn't sure
Interesting to see rosellas from other parts of the country. Kookaburras spend ages just watching, don't they?
Definitely an immature PHR.
Love the Peaceful Dove...they are so pretty with those lovely markings
