Great shots Birdie. I love little wattlebirds and they are very common in Melbourne. I am so jealous of your weather ATM.
So fine and sunny while down here it has been relentless rain for the last couple of days.
Great shots. I love the little wattlebird with its banksia - I like to see a bit of the habitat. Nice ones of the magpie-lark and Australian brush-turkey too. What is the little grey bird? Is it a masked woodswallow?
Enjoy the sun after all your rain. I feel sorry for all of you down south. It has been very cold here too - I think there was snow at Barrington TOps, in NSW, 2 hours north of us, last night!
Thanks guys, there were some more but I will have to sort through them as I just got sick and my head is all fuzzy with a cold. it takes so long to sort and edit...especially with the way my laptop is at the moment.
Re the grey bird, I think it is a black faced cuckoo shrike and there is another one that may be the same one or it may be a white bellied I will have to find it.
Brilliant wagtail and heron shots birdie. i htink the shrike is an immature black faced because the black patch extends past the eye and is broader than a white belly's, which is thin and stops at the eye. The black faceds eye blends in to its band but the white-belly's eye stands out wiht a pale eye ring.

And a different view of the black faced cuckoo shrike...or maybe it is a white bellied I am not sure.
