I was in my backyard and I saw a pair of BOP's soaring quite high. I had the camera handy so I took a few shots.
whistling Kites are quite rare in our area and I have never seen them anywhere near home before so it was a surprise to see them.

How on earth can you tell what it is from that distance Owen??

I didn't have binos birdie but from the way they soared. the M shape on the wings and the long-tailed appearance, just from looking through the camera I got a fair idea that they were probably whistling kites.
Maybe akos could confirm it for me..hint hint!

I agree with whistling kite - I can see the marking on the underwing. Soon you might become a devotee like I am!
