Golden-headed Cisticola

I was at the western treatment plant a few weeks ago and saw lots of birds, including golden headed cisticolas, which I took one of my favourite shots of.

What a great shot Owen, I can't say, I have ever seen one before, just beautiful! You are so good, finding "little birds" (maybe I need new glasses?)

Fantastic shot! They're sweet little birds, aren't they?

Araminta, you just need to find the right habitat. I've been to several places recently that have the appropriate habitat, so have seen many of these birds recently. However, until approx. 1 year ago, I had never seen any.

Wow Owen.... that is a superb shot. Well done for even seeing it let alone capturing it. Did you hear it first? they are the most lovely little birds with so much character. Can I ask... is there a reason why you do not post it live? I find it a real pain having to go and wait for a download and that is too good a shot for others not to see :) I mean that in a nice way not a critical way. I just love the forum to be live so that everyone gets it straight away . It is so much more exciting that way I feel.

Owen that is an excellent shot. They are really little birds and move a lot so great job.
I agree with birdie, as I just said on your other thread.

Owen, very nice shot. I like the perch and the depth of field. Lovely clear, sharp detail.

That's a great shot Owen, never seen one of those, we have to find the time to get down there, been there in the truck but don't take camera to work with me.
