Brown falcon - exposure sorted

I went out to find the brown falcon and saw one on the power line. I enjoyed just watching it sit there and look around. I can drive up to about 20-30 m but that's all. It flies away if I get out of the car.
Thanks to everyone on here: birdie, GeorgeP, Windhover and Abeleski - plus some people on F&P - who took the time to give me some pointers on exposure. I've never used exposure compensation before, so I'm really pleased to have learned something new and to have a better idea of how to get good exposures of BIF and birds against the sky
I tried the suggestions and got a much better result

Wonderful shots Birdgirl, and even if you get suggestions, you still need the courage to try them when you are faced with a photo opportunity like those above. Great results.

I've succumbed to the birding bug!

Well done Birdgirl. You kicked ass with these ones. Sharp and exposure indeed is sorted out. Good job on getting him as he flew off the perch too.

I also managed to get some BOP on Monday but I haven't had a chance to post yet. Too busy at work and my baby is sick when I get home. Will try and post soon.

Again well done.
