Today wasn't one of my better days of birding.(I saw a Kingfisher, that was nice, but no photo!)The only photos for the day are those rather fuzzy ones of the Great Egret. I post them anyway.
I took those at the Coolart Wetlands. Tomorrow is another day, and who knows what birds I will see? M-L
nice BiF shots :)
Sunshine Coast Queensland
yes, I always like BIF shots and I think these are the first I've seen of yours
You are so right, I haven't worked out how to take BIFs yet! With my glasses I find them very difficult. These are the first ones. You will have to wait a bit longer, I'll get there. Please give me some hints, or is it just practice? M-L

Practise, practise, practise. I used to be amazed at the BIF photos I saw on here and think I could never do any, but I usually take 200-300 photos and only have one or 2 that are good enough to post. I'm just about to post a BSK flying (but only from one powerline to the next). My practising BIF gave me the ability to get those 4 F/A 18s in the frame - you can just imagine how fast they were.
Tip: start with slow birds (not ducks)
Nice photos. Yes, I agree with Birdgirl - take hundreds and use a few - eventually you will get good ones - and use a few. It's just as well we don't have to worry about film negatives and printing anymore!
