Lake Gelately, Gatton

A diversion on the way home from Toowoomba today. Lake Gelately is in the Gatton campus of the University of Queensland. It is well worth a visit.

Hundreds of Magpie Geese and Plumed Whistling ducks there today plus a few extras.

Nice collection of water birds. THe spoonbills look ready to breed with their lovely plumes. I think we get most of these down here around Newcastle, NSW

It is great to see so many birds in one spot, just imagine, what it "could and would" be like, if we wouldn't be so efficient in killing and destroying nature!? M-L
thanks for showing it to us.
