Sorry BirdGirl, I've confused you! These were taken on a N.T. trip recently, sorry, should have explained! (Same with the finches). Highly recommend an N.T. trip for the incredible variety of birdlife. I'm not a 'list-maker', but after 2 weeks, I counted up approx 135 species of birds I'd seen.... That speaks for itself! Tassie's pigeons are quite boring. The only one I've seen at my place are Spotted Turtle-Doves, and nearby are Bronzewings.
Owen - next time I'm coming to Melbourne, I'm going to insist you give me a few birding places to go. I've been to Melbourne so many times, but never just headed out for a day of birding. You've convinced me I should have!
Cheers,
Scott.
Good photos - haven't seen either of these birds, but live in hope! Perhaps next time we're up north.

I didn't know there were so many different pigeons! The Rose-crowned Fruit-dove is incredibly pretty. But aren't you down south? Tas?
Nice shots. Love the Rose Crowned. Always wanted to see one.
Cheers, Owen.
