These are diamond doves from a rest area about 30 km east of Three Ways NT about two years ago. Great rest area with water tanks and drinking troughs for the birds, also a dam over the back where the doves also drank.

The zebra finches were also there in hundreds - they liked drinking from the troughs.

They didn't mind being all over each other at the drinking trough.

Great shots! More Diamond Doves than I've seen in my whole life. Must remember to stop rather than drive through on the next trip north.
