First one from my recent trip to Brisbane. There were quite a few of these foraging in the grass near the Logan River.

Great pic indeed! Lovely colours - the only ones we have of these are in a flock at a nesting site where you can't get close to them, or in a paddock with cattle where they fly as soon as they see us! Really good photo. Hasn't he got lovely colours!

Well done Owen! Breeding plumage and colours look FANTASTIC. Have never been able to get this close to this species.
