Hi there, we have a sulphur crested coming down for a feed, looks very unwell, does he have beak and feather disease do you think? Any thing we can do for him?
Cheers
This is a message to everyone, who feeds birds!! Please all of you, have a GOOD LOOK at the very unfortunate bird. THIS IS, WHAT HAPPENS TO BIRDS that are fed at feedind stations. Oh, how I would like for everyone who feeds wild birds to see this SICK and DYING bird. I plead with everyone who thinks they are doing a good deed by feeding wild birds to have a close look at the suffering bird!!!I don't think you can do anything for this bird, but there is everything you can do for all the others: STOP FEEDING!!! I beg you, from the bottom of my heart, speaking for all the native birds, PLEASE STOP FEEDING ! M-L

Well written, Araminta. The state of this bird is regrettable indeed but the posting of the photo is fortuitous. Much has been written about the importance of providing natural habitat rather than feeding tables for native birds. Hopefully, the photo will prompt folk who think they're doing a good thing by feeding birds to reconsider their actions.
Oh thanks Woko, I just had another look at the so very sick bird, please have a long look at it. It touches my heart deeply, I hope it touches yours in the same way!! As Woko said, maybe the photo of this unfortunate bird could could become a reminder of what we do to birds , thinking we help them, but the outcome is disastrous!M-L
