Okay I am going to try this..... and see how I go before destroying the photo thread with painful attempts...

Hopefully this is a photo of the breeding corellas that nested in our yard in 2010

When I was trying to upload my Koel photos, a kind person posted these instructions:

RE: Channel Bills and Koels leaving?

Under "Share this".
Select "Grab the HTML/BBCode"
Click on "BBCode"
Select size "Medium 500"
Copy and paste the codes in the box.
That should work.
Good luck!

Above method actually works! It is a little easier than the usual method given. I also upload to Flickr photos that are fifty percent of the original, they are the correct size to upload here.

Hi Sally,
If I am not mistaken, the only thing you can do with Snapfish is to share a link that links to your photo at Snapfish. But you can't share the photo to display in the forum, because Snapfish don't have BBCode.
You can use photo hosting sides like Flickr, Photobucket, Imageshack or some others.

Sorry but I think that is a little daunting for newcomers, first they would have to open a Flickr account.
I'll try that and see what happens

Good grief that is a long code!!!

It also gives more information about your Flickr account that you may not want to post. I prefer the right click and copy paste img location method.
Sally whatever you decide you will need a hosting site that allows the image to go live onto another website through the code it uses in the address line. And the size needed for this sit so as not to crop your image is 500 as Birdsong said. you do not have to resize before uploading if you don't want to but be aware that there is a limit on how much you can store there without paying for it.
Good luck

Rod - just close the brackets on either side of the IMG

so [ img ] [/ img ] (remove all the spaces of course)

Ha ha was just going to jump in and explain ...well done ScottTas and if you want to make them bigger just choose the bigger size from your album. You need about 500 wide for this forum so as to avoid cropping.

You can use proporties from images posted in Picasa Web Albums as well.
