Hey Guys and yes WOW, this is the most time ive posted this year. 2!
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has been to Sundown National Park and knows of any good places to see some birds. If you could spare a few tips that would be very helpful and appreciated. And Holly, please keep the spot for a new Turquoise Parrot photo open because i think i might get one.
Grazie mille.
(Thank you very much)
Judging by the lack of responses the users on this forum have either completely ignored the thread or have never been to sundown. Even if you haven't it would be greatly appreciated by me.
sorry qld bird. i live in victoria so i have never even heard of sundown national park. i did read some parknotes about it and it said that birds are most likely to be found in bushy and scrubby areas, dry areas and down at the severn river.
good luck and hope you get photos of turquoise parrot.
Cheers, Owen.
Thanks Owen1. That is some valuable information that i did not know. Thank you very much!!
Ill be sure to take lots of photos to share with everyone.
If no one's been there before, with you being the first you can share exclusive findings :D
Never been there either but googling tells me there are over 150 species (which doesn't really help) and you can "See ducks, herons, cormorants and tiny azure kingfishers along the river" which sounds pretty cool. You can generate a species list from here:

generakky speaking if you've never been to a park then you can really see birds anywhere but it can be hard finding the best places on first visit.
Cheers, Owen.
i mean generally speaking. LOL
Cheers, Owen.
Owen, you should be reprimanded for misspelling "generally" on the "General" section of the forum.
