I am away for a couple of weeks

Hi guys

Just letting you know I will be away for a couple of weeks. I am heading to NZ for a conference (I am presenting at a special urban bird workshop there) and then taking another week off to see some sights (and hopefully some birds) on the North Island.
I am not sure what internet/email access I will have but birdie still has mod access and if there are any other problems then contact

Cheers
Holly

Thanks M-L - holding out hope for some NZ endemics :)

My wonderfully patient (non-birding) husband has agreed to go and visit the big gannet colony at Muriwai and Rangitoto Island.

HOLLY!!!!!

Can you take me instead of your hubby? I can then photograph the gannets while you twitch and he can have a clean house for you when you come back! :-) LOL.....

Have a great time over there!

Sounds like a plan Akos! I shall bring up the possibility with husband and see what he thinks ;)

I think my suggestion is a winner. You can always keep in touch with him via Facebook. LOL. You know I'm kidding. Have an awesome trip! :-)

LOL I am sure he will love that!

Going to be a great trip - not only the first decent holiday for a couple of years, but also very much looking forward to the conference. There are a number of urban bird symposia as well as the workshop I am involved in and some huge names in the urban ecology field are presenting.

Enjoy yourself Holly and see lots of birds! Make sure you have time to relax as well!

Cheers, Owen.

Have a safe yet exciting trip, Holly. Kudos to your husband for being willing to do things with you that are outside his interests. I hope you are able to share some interesting things from your trip with us on your return.

I'm interested in what you share with & learn from the conference, Holly. Have a good one.
