This duck looks like something from Picard's fleet.
Namely ‘The star-ship Endeavour’
I would like to know if it is a true Duck or what ?
Was he showing aggression towards me or Showing off to a mate ?

Hi Kell, Denis, Plumed Whistling Duck for sure, Denis is right we see a 'few' of these up this way and we seem to have more breeding locally (or maybe I'm just seeing more) in the last few years. Not sure what your bird is up to, although your comment about the star-ship seem very apt.
A couple (maybe in the true sense, what could be a female in front with the shorter plumes?) on the Towncommon here in Townsville last year.

Thanks Ed,
Great shot there.
When I see them side by side like that, It's so easy to see Male from fmale.
Thanks again.
