Its a Canary - presumably escapee. Some form of colour mutant, but such colour changed birds are very common in the caged bird world. The posture is of a European Finch, and the forked tail fits the diagnosis. Cheers Denis

Shame you could not catch it! Most escaped pets can not survive in the wild. I hope the little fella will be ok.
