I have been going through some old photos (January this year) and found this one which I can't identiy - any of the options which seemed possible shouldn't be at Tocumwal (near NSW-Vic border). We only got one shot and the uncooperative little bird departed. I realise it's a long shot.
Sorry it's such a poor shot - that is obviously part of the problem.

Yep a Red Rumped, meave we have seen these at the Goulburn Weir near Shepparton.
Of course you are right, I should have looked more carefully. Thanks for the help. He just looked more orange than I expected and it put me off. (Excuses, excuses) Sometimes my mind just goes blank.
