I'm not sure - usually the cream triangle behhind the eye is easier to see, and they usually look a bit slighter in build. It is like a honeyeater beak I agree. We have three photos and all are much the same, we do have lots of brown honeyeaters at home, just thought this was a bit heavier built, but it was a long way from home. You could be right. Thanks for the thought. I hadn't really considered that one.
This is a brown honeyeater at our place (Kingston, south of Brisbane). I just thought he looked a bit more lightly built, and the eye bit is more obvious.
