Honeyeater??

Can you help me please? I have tried to take a photo of him/her for some time. They are very shy, so this is the best I could do.The bird is smaller than the Lewin's, around the 15cm I would say.I would love to know what kind it is, thanks. M-L

I reckon that's a crescent honeyeater, Araminta. Possibly a female or a fairly young one .

Thanks guys! Now I have one more bird in my garden(?) I haven't seen before. Doesn't mean it wasn't there,I'm just outside more sinse I have a camera! LOL My husband says, I'm obsessed!? Hmm? But as birdgirl said to me, "get your priorities right girl", so I do! M-L

Definitely Crescent honeyeater. Your area is perfect for them. Remember I found one once in Warrandyte?
