Thanks for your comments and for the welcome. Will try and get some more interesting shots. We've got about 50 species of birds on our property and we are trying to get photos of the more unusual ones....the powerful owl is back....still trying to get a good shot of him.
lovely shots edward and I offer you a hearty salutation as well. Would love to see more of the 50 species you have. Oh and if you locate the powerful owl I will be asking for an invite to your property :) (I am in sunny gisborne which isn't too far away)
Great part of the world, I've seen many a bird of prey up your way. Berldo, Gisborne isn't that sunny, just because you're close to Sunbury doesn't mean that town's radiance reaches you; But other things may do!
Hi Bushbirdnerd
We've been here less than 1 year but do really like it. We have seen a few BOP...but they're usually too quick for us to photograph. The wedge tail is usually flying around most days - even if only at a distance. We have seen the Tawny around alot and one or two types of falcons. We're still discovering all the birds and other wildlife!
Be interested in hearing which birds of prey you've seen in our area.
Nice pics Edward.... I love to listen to their song
Sunshine Coast Queensland
Great shots - it's really hard to get them because they move so often
Great shots Edward, haven't seen you on the forum so this is my welcome. Look forward to seeing more posts.

We will keep an eye out for that powerful owl - couldn't find him toady but we saw him earlier this week. We got a very average photo of him so posted it in the Surveys and Interesting Sightings forum

If we can consistently find him, you are welcome to come up.
bushbirdnerd, we are (standing up) midway between Kilmore and Lancefield in Victoria.
