Hi, my name is Marissa. I live in a north Brisbane suburb close to creeks and bushland. I'm not a birdwatcher but I just like to identify the birds around my house. Most of them are the usual ones but every now and then I'm visited by something different. The strangest bird I've seen is the pheasant coucal but that was about 10 years ago. Today I saw a rainbow bee-eater which is why I came to this site. My favourite sighting was on a bushwalk on a school excursion when an eagle flew several metres in front of us carrying it's prey. Poor rabbit, but it was amazing.
Hi Marissa, and welcome to the forum. Your house sounds like a very fascinating place. I hope to hear more from you and about the different birds you saw.

Seeing that eagle would have been pretty exciting in my view. Welcome to BIBY.
