Hello, Looking for confirmation if this is the long-billed corella at front? I thought I'd read it was distributed more south than my location at Lake Macquarie, and also that they are in the minority. With thanks,

Yes it is. We have them here between Newcastle and Maitland, quite close to you. They usually disappear between August and late December/early January, so must go somewehere else to nest. I also have a book that shows the distribution in southern Australia, not here
Definitely is the Long-Billed!
They have very different faces with the visible red and of course the long bill.. :)
I'm on the northern central coast not too far south from you, and the long-billed's hang out with the little corellas. Outnumbered considerably but they're there. Also seen some hybrids.
