These are my first offerings made by me this morning. Usually leave the photography up to my hubby but he's at work and I thought I would have a go (with his camera). They were taken within walking distance (1km) from my house.

Pretty good for your 1st go
Well done for your first go, nice shots, thx for sharing, love the Stilts.
Nice series of shots. I've been meaning to visit that part of Melbourne. Quite a few interesting species have been reported there, particularly Banded Stilts. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,

Sunshine Coast Queensland
Nice work Correa, like the Cormorant, almost like a mirror. We might be down your neck of the woods on saturday.
Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. I've had another lesson from hubby, so will do better next time. Cheers.
Cathshane, lots of birds in the wetlands, sharp-tailed sandpipers and one of the birders photographed a greenshank. Just lovely to watch them from the Bay Trail adjacent to Sanctuary Lakes.
Correa, you need to take that camera off him more often!!! Wow, you need your own camera. Last year, when I didn't have a camera yet, birdgirl (someone on this forum) said something to me, that changed my life in many ways.(she might not know it?) She said:" Girl, get your priorities right! "
I've been tryig to do just that, ever since she said it to me.
So , Correa, get your priorities right! We want to see more great photos like these.
Ps: I want to come and visit ! Looks like the best place on earth!

Be sure to keep up the good work. I love the first image with all of their heads tucked away. As for the cormorant, reflection shots are always a winner!
What area of Melbourne is this?
Sorry, Cheetham Wetlands, that's where this is. Silly me.
Great collection! Love the black winged stilts on the wing. Flying birds are quite hard to take a picture of.

Thanks Correa, we wanted to go there for a long time, I just printed out the maps and walks. We will be there tomorrow or on Sunday. We might run into Cath and Shane, who knows?
