Birds of prey

I'm going to attempt to upload some photos and hope someone will rescue me if it doesn't work and give me simple instructions.

A white-bellied sea eagle flew past with something tasty. I happened to look over at a tree a bit later and saw it trying to eat while surrounded by ravens. Bad light, sorry, but I was on the other side of the road and the sun was behind it.

I saw a swamp harrier.

I saw a whistling kite flying low over the grass. I usually see them higher. In one photo it is havering tail-down, rather like a BSK.

Don't be upset, I find it easier to just Browse, look at the picture, where you keep them, double click and it will appear next to Browse, then Upload and save. That's easy, if I can do it, so can everyone else.

Trying one photo without using flickr

Good shots Birdgirl.......I love your Raptor shots, always nice!!!!!
I had to laugh at the old Crows, it doesn't matter where you see them they are always trying to scam a feed out of someone or something. When I was at the mines and sitting around in the truck I used to throw a take away container out on the ground with a cup cake inside with the lid on, and as quick as a flash a crow would be on it and they would punch a hole in the lid with their beak and gradually bit by bit pull the cake out through the hole. Cunning buggers.

Hi Kim,

There are several ways to insert images in your posts now.

1) You can use BBCode as the forum has always used in the past. This requires that you choose the BBCode input format which is a little drop down below the area where you type your entry. You can test this by editing your original post and changing the Text Format directly to BBCode and then saving and your original images will come up. You can also specify this format as your default if you happen to keep wanting to use it - you can do this by clicking the 'My Account' link in the top right and then editing your profile and choosing the correct default input format.

2) You can use the WYSIWYG text editor to insert images from other sites - click on the little icon with a house and the sun in it next to the flag in the toolbar. This will ask you for various options including a URL for the image which you can paste into and your image will appear with your text.

3) You can upload an image directly using the 'Add a new file' upload button under attachments and choosing a file from your computer to upload. These images appear after your text.

If you want to know more about available formatting options click the 'More information about text formats' link below the text editing area.

Cheers,

Kehan

Hi Kehan.... I can post just fine but I had trouble with kim's images..... could there be anything that is just peculiar to her membership?

Cheers
