Pennyfarthing Kookaburra

Our resident kookaburra chose this Pennyfarthing as a lookout for his breakfast of worms from the wet lawn. He caught 7 in about as many minutes, before flying into the cotoneaster for a higher vantage point.

Clever bird.  Great pic.  I want one of these for my back yard.

Great photo, he would need a pair of egret legs to peddle that bike though.

Didn't take long at all. He came back to the bike after each worm so I got 5 shots with him looking up, down, ahead & in the opposite direction. Took them all from the back steps of the house, about 9 m. from the bike. Used a simple digital camera on full telescopic.

What a great shot! and what a cheeky fella! I bet he after a belly full of worms he couldn't work that bike even with the egret legs :P
