Noticed an unusual shape in the tall branch of a large morton bay fig tree in our yard on saturday morning.
Sat there all day and gave us evil eyes when we went out for closer inpections.
Looks like bat was on the menu for dinner...

Yes, Powerful Owl I say. Only thing that big, and with prominent dark brown 'v-barring' on chest.

Looks like a youngish bird finding its territory and it has a Grey-headed Flying Fox hanging there too. That would've been eaten on dusk....
