Weebill

Saw these Weebills the other day at Newcastle Waters, near Elliott, NT, about half way between Darwin and Alice Springs

These are much yellower than the weebills around our place. You did well to catch them since they're usually on the go.

Thanks for showing these lovely photos to us, I have not seen one before. One of my dreams is ,to one day travel up north to see a bit of our beautiful country. (Might never happen though? Might remain a dream?)

Hi Woko, may just be the setting on my camera, but in the lusher vegetation where they were maybe it is a way of them blending in better over time. We do seem to have much paler fronts on the ones at Alice Springs too. Thanks for the comments.

Thanks M-L. No need to dream, we aren't in a different country! Besides, who would really want to leave your neck of the woods? I always wanted to visit Alice, just happened to stay here once I did!:-)

Yes, dreams....., was it Alice you fell in love with, or did he/she have a different name? (Sorry, the question had to be asked)

And we now have 3 children, 1 of which loves bird watching with dad, one enjoys it to a point and the other prefers to be with mum! :-)

Sounds very romantic. Past revisited, to me means, you were there before and found her again? Don't answer, I'm just a very romantic person.....
