Not fast enough for you and your camera!
I saw one of these last year at Lysterfield Lake Park. Only one I've ever seen - couldn't get as close as you have but it was enough to be able to ID it.

Marie Louise they are as good as any pictures that I have seen of this elusive bird ( my personal nemesis )Your stealth must be amazing as I am never abe to get close to them . Wonderful clarity in your shots here...well done. I love them they are so pretty and are such a challenge
