This was seen near home (just south of Brisbane) but the other Orioles I have seen don't have the black tip to the beak. Photos aren't really good but he wouldn't pose nicely. They are all the same bird.

I think I am giving up on this one - can't get the photos up at all, and I'm not getting the comments through to my email either. It all worked a couple of weeks ago.

I have some photos of this bird and I was thinking that it is a female Rufous Whistler as I took some photos recently of a male and nearby was a bird just like yours which looks like the female, but I have not seen an Oriole as yet so not certain.

here's a pic of an Olive-backed Oriole (Coraki, NSW, 9/2011) in a similar stance to your #1 pic (sorry the tail is not visible)
I can see a distinct difference around the neck & head

The pale rufous underparts suggest this is a female rufous whistler. The olive-backed oriole has white (streaked with black) underparts.
Thank you clif2, pacman and Woko - I have to agree with you, female rufous whistler. Still don't know what happened with my photos. Did someone help with that? Thanks a lot.
