my birding drive today was to Boorganna Nature Reserve, via Comboyne via Wauchope, NSW

the Satin Bowerbird pics were no good

this bird however, walked around me to pose for the pic

Interesting birds . I had a resident pair in the yard last spring , now down to a lone resident , more often heard other than seen . There was also a pair at work last autumn / winter. Interesting thing is at work they were spending a lot of time hopping around man made structures , such as the steel rack , old 44's and tractors. The pair at home spent most of their time hanging around the deck hopping over the barbeque & in the carport hopping around the caravan and car.

That's what they are doing, at my place they are hopping around the house, looking up, trying to find spiders. Because I'm not a mad cleaner, they find a fair amount of those .

The pose of the bird in your photos are very typical, the slight tilt of the head, looking up for those insects. Well captured, Peter.
