I just had the best experience with this twany frogmouth. I was walking back up the path when I saw the twany just sitting on the gate post, the spotlight must have thrown him off because he let me walk up close enough that I could have actually touched him.

I love the frogmouths. We have at least one here, but I haven't seen it lately. I find the odd feather though. Excellent photos Matt.

I have seen them on the fence and railings at my place in spring and summer, but never got one on camera before they fly off.
