Unfortuneately this Female Mistletoebird would not show her face in the split second she landed in front of me, I guess we all have tales of the one that got away.

Had to read this twice, we all have tales .... not tails, HaHa.I love a bird's bottom, and what a very sharp one it is.

Trying to tell you something?
just missed by ......................... a head
Peter
I wonder sometimes if this behaviour is deliberate, because sometimes I get a lot of bottom shots and I sense they are having a chuckle at me.

Could be worse Shane ......![wink wink](https://www.birdsinbackyards.net/sites/all/libraries/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/wink_smile.gif)

Great idea, one day we could all post shots of the "best bottoms"![devil devil](https://www.birdsinbackyards.net/sites/all/libraries/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/devil_smile.gif)
It would also be interesting to find out, if we can still ID those bottoms? Like: who's behind is this?![blush blush](https://www.birdsinbackyards.net/sites/all/libraries/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/embaressed_smile.gif)

That would be a good idea M-L, as long as those unwanted people leaving links to their dodgy sites don't find out or we might end up with more bottoms than we could imagine.

Shane
I've given this matter a lot of thought & think a top down approach might be better, especially after reading clif's last posting.
Bottoms up!
Funny! I think its a great shot and a very colourful tale, um, tail. What sort of bird is it?

Karen, It is a Female Mistletoe Bird, another from Riverdale Park.

Shane
Thank you Shane. That park has an amazing variety of small birds, hasn't it. We were up there on the weekend and saw so many small birds we couldn't ID, but were unable to get pics. I have to accept that my camera is totally inadequate for bird watching, and will have to wait until Barry learns how to use his new camera.

Hey Karen..... girlpower...why dont you learn how to use it and then you can show him LOL![wink wink](https://www.birdsinbackyards.net/sites/all/libraries/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/wink_smile.gif)
Love Mistletoe birds Shane .... so pretty and a sweet sound too

Birdie, would love to, but he keeps it at his place, not at mine. I've suggested we both do a photography course, just to learn to do the basics quickly. By the time he gets it out, and reads the book, the subject has long gone.

Well Karen, it depends what camera he has ..... but if it is fairly auto, can I suggest that he stops reading a nd starts using? Most nodern cameras are mading so that you can get the pleasure out of using it and still get a good result with just leaving it on auto. As you gain enjoyment and confidence , so you experiment more and more.![smiley smiley](https://www.birdsinbackyards.net/sites/all/libraries/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/regular_smile.gif)

He'll get there. He is a very technical sort of person and will work at something almost obsessively until he works it out. Keeps him out of mischief :)
