Osprey

I had a birding day yesterday in the Port Macquarie area.

I started around Lake Cathie (silent h), then Dunbogan, Katang Nature reserve and then Pilot Beach.

At Pilot Beach I got a number of pics of an Osprey.

It was a very overcast day and although I am a raw beginner with Photoshop I have changed the levels.

Great shots Pete, I'm not that experienced with photoshop but a couple of things I have picked up might help with this photo.

Dropdown box adjust lighting, then lighten shadows and darken highlights, play with these and it may help to help the photo pop a bit more.

Then try the upsharpmask filling in the boxes AMOUNT 500%, RADIUS 0.2 pixels, THRESHOLD 0 level, only use the upsharp mask after you have reduced the photo.

Headsie.

You have gotta be stoked with these Peter, they are fantastic and tweaking the levels has lifted the overall photo. Did you use your 400mm F2.8 for these?
