Owen it is a Rose Robin, I don't think we get the Pink ones up here unfortuneately. I purchased a pair of Nikon Monarch 8x42 Binoculars and so far I think they are really great.
Thanks Birdie and Headsie, these little Robins are definately on my favourites list which just gets larger all the time. We truly are so lucky to have all of this Flora and Fauna out there.

oops i meant Rose Robin, honestly just got the names mixed up. I've just ordered that same model of binos today so I wait with excitement for the shop to get it for me.
They appear to get good ratings from various groups, I don't think you will regret it Owen. I knew that you mixed up the Robins, but I got the message anyway Thanks.
Ooh, lovely pics. They are beautiful, especially the robin, but look at the markings and colours in that crested pigeon. I know how hard it is to capture that, I've tried.
Thanks Karen, I have quite a few decent photos of the Crested Pigeons but I think they are a beautiful bird and will always have time for another photo of them.
I think that Robin's a nazi!
:-) Nice pics, especially number 2.

I think he was saying "look, Crested Pigeon that way!" Lovely shots of all birds and the bins are obviosuly a huge help to spot and identify.

Great photos with the blurred background. The Noisy Miner's eyes even match the flowering Grevillea.
Thanks Maureen the blurring helps when there is a paddock off in the distance behind it.
