These fellows came down for a nibble near the van this morning. Been trying to get a shot of them for a while.
Wouldn't let me very close though unfortunately.

I must remember never to take our Rosellas for granted!
Nice pics mate, very pretty birds. I've also been seeing some of these recently :)
Nice shots CQGems, they are very flighty and don't usually let you get too close.
Regards
Shane
Beautiful catches of Pale Headed Rosellas...... we get them here and they are so shy and loveable with their chirruping sounds. How close did you want to get ???. they are great !!!

THanks all. See them quite a bit and this is about as close as they have been.
Hi birdie. This was with the lens at 400mm and quite a bit of cropping.
that is unless you live at Scarborough, Qld when they land on your balcony to say hello
sorry - a 1 off occasion, I have the same trouble as the others in getting close but remembered this from Feb '12 and couldn't resist

Beautiful birds, can we swap a few western rosellas for these, please.
They are really pretty. I hadn't realised that their cheek patches aren't as defined as the cheek patches of the other rosellas
