These photos were taken a few weeks ago at the Western Treatment Plant. We were on our way home, when I spotted this little one right next to the window of the car. I had my gear all packed up, so I borrowed my husband's Pentax. A lesson learned, never pack up to early.

Fabulous! You must be very pleased with the results. They are a gorgeous bird and you've captured him well. After missing shots when I've been on my way home, I now drive home with camera gear at the ready.

Oh, the times I've just packed my camera away and a great shot is lost. This is a cute little fellow. I wonder if they are found this far north?

Fantastic shots M-L. At least you had another camera handy
Cheers, Owen.
My camera is always ready - just remove the lens cap and I'm in action! I have what looks like a handbag but it's for carrying a camera around so I can grab it quickly. Great shots M-L. What lens did you have on the Pentax?

Hi Kathie, I used his Pentax 300DA SMC lens. Hope you and your husband are well?
M-L
Knew it had to be a good lens. Hubby and I are well but one of our daughter's isn't. We've spent the past week visiting the Royal Melbourne Hospital every day. It was very serious but that is past now and she's recovering. So, I've not been on any forums much over the past week but I have been on Facebook a lot as all of our family and friends are there and it was the easiest way to keep in touch with all to let them know what was happening.
