as I never go anywhere .......you get it..... without my camera, I even took it with me chucking out the rubbish. (feel free to call me mad)
That'when I heard the White-browed Scrubwrens singing. They are building a nest inside a pile of stuff we wanted to burn before the fire season, guess we won't now. They have the most beautiful song, almost as nice as my favouriet bird the Wrens.
(sorry, the blurry bits on the left side of the bird are twiggs. I don't like to fix my photos, they are what they are, I can try to get better with more practice.)
too late to fix the spelling mistakes, sorry.

Gosh M-L I am in awe - they are just stunning! You have always been a great photographer but are just getting better and better.
You're not mad. How many times have you said 'I wish I'd brought my camera "? Mine is a permanent fixture round my neck. Blurry bits are good, makes the subject stand out. Very good shots
M-L, you know I always love your pics too. How amazing they nested in the rubbish pile though. I have such a pile down the back, but no birds nest in it. The blue tongue lizards burrow into it and have their young in it though.

Sheets of old iron are great sunning places for tawny dragons.
Now, I might be in a bad mood here, but Woko, how does the dragon on a piece of iron sheet relate to my photos of a White-browed Scrubwren???? Nowhere did you bother to comment on my photos? Do you like them? Do you think they are bad, or might they be even good? May that be as it is? I know what they are.......
M-L
Your shots are always great you don't need to be told M-L. Woko not a bad shot of the dragon , might just grab a book and look it up.
See it! Hear it!

Your photos are great M-L which is no surprise.
The scrubwrens are making use of rubbish to make a home and so are the lizards in Woko's photo - that's the relationship. I don't think Woko needs to start a new thread just to demonstrate that, when your thread is here for the same reason.
That's the beauty of forums people get inspired by a topic and get to share their experiences.

Araminta, the shot relates to your comment about the white-browed scrub wrens' use of rubbish at your place & Karen's comment about blue-tongue lizards in her rubbish pile. I guess it demonstrates how wildlife are opportunists in using whatever meets their needs. It was remiss of me not to have referred to your great shots of the white-browed scrub wrens since this was the original purpose of your post. And your comment & Karen's comment about rubbish got me thinking. Actually, I find the photos on this forum so good & informative that I would spend much of my day commenting if I commented on each one! So fear not if I don't comment on your great photos. They're very much appreciated.
Marie-Louise I am afraid I agree with Darin, you know your photos are superb, and these particularly so. You dont need us to validate that fact !!!! Yes I fear you were in a grumpy mood when you jumped down poor Wokos throat here.....
I agree Alison with all your comments. There are so many posts and the subjects jump around a lot, and sometimes you just think of something to say that you feel may add to it. As you know M-L , because we have discussed it, if I was to take offence at the amount of times my favourite pics are ignored then I would have left here a very long time ago ... from time to time it is necessary to take a break and gain some perspective on that maybe?
These days I just cant find the time and inclination to go back and comment on every post either , but they are all appreciated.
Keep up your good work
