I promised birdie I'd get some photos so I went out for an hour today and had a lucky find. I saw 2 nankeen kestrels hovering and circling, feeding and I think mating briefly. I found it hard to tell the male and female apart in the perched photos as I couldn't see their tails very well. I also saw a black-shouldered kite and a wedge-tailed eagle.
What wonderful shots. They certainly tell the story well. Could I ask what camera and lens you were using?
Super pics.

Hi Sue and Karen
Thanks very much. Karen, it is a Canon 7D with the Canon 100-400 IS lens. The photos have been cropped but not otherwise altered. The concrete powerpole is very tall, but I got to about 20 m away from it.
Sorry, I meant Sue
No problem and thank you for the information on the camera and lens.
